Hope these pictures show up (and my old bag, I mean my young and beautiful spouse) doesn't see this.
I bought her today, I am going to need a stem
https://imgur.com/gymscEF
I found a picture of her 'twin' to show how I would like the stem to look. I realize the original was amber, I'll have to settle for plastic I guess.

Who's the man that does this work? Thanks all.
edit..I'm using Imgur clicking on the link shows the pic..for me at least. (Since photobucket went paywall, I'm still learning...if you can't see 'em, I'll revise)

Last I checked, and it has been several years, amber stems were about $100/inch. Beautiful pipe BTW. As for the thread title, when was the last time a pipe gave you a "honey-do" list?

Ha! A pipe is my only true love.. except for the dog of course.
I'm not thinking to spend a lot of money for a amber stem, I would like to smoke this, and if things get too pricy, I worry.

I heard that amber stems are fragile so you would be better off having an acrylic or valconite one.

I'm looking for a amber colored acrylic stem in a style as pictured, probably some screw in tenon work ...I didn't spend much on 'her'...(I call her Helga). The fragility of amber is apparent, and she has no case to rest her head.
Helga called to me and needs help...I heard her. My wife says I don't listen to her... Go figure.
She seems to be rather old, from what I found on the web her sister sold at a Christies auction and was described as 'mid to late 19th century. A voluptuous Victorian nude, basking on a husk of corn bowl'.
I think her form and face are gorgeous...even more so than her sister. They are amazingly alike and I'd guess carved by the same unknown to me artisan.
I probably should have posted this in the repair forum, but I know how much we like to look at 'pipe porn'. heh. If and when I get her dolled up I'll post a pic as Imgur seems to work here.

It's a slippery slope, Warren. We anthropomorphized some of the ramp workers at my job, and what a mistake that was. Now they want to sleep indoors, eat at the table, all kinds of crazy shit.
Definitely is a nice looker. The one view reminds me of a ship's figurehead.

'Anthropomorphize' huh? Is she not human? A beautiful woman... somewhat tattered, but to my eye 'experienced', with eyes that have seen...who knows? Her amber stem crushed by the teeth of her paramour as he (or she) exhaled the last puff before...
I'll have to ask her.
*in the meantime..don't harsh my mellow*

It's easy to upload images from Imgur, about as easy as it gets. Just select the image you want to upload from the gallery of images and click on it. That will open a separate page with different posting formats to the right of the main image. Select BBCode by clicking on the word "copy" and just past it into your reply window.

See? Simple and no need to post a link.
I'd suggest Briarville Pipe Repair as they work with meerschaum, which is not common. Best of luck with your threesome.

Voila!
This pic is of my Helga's somewhat cyprian sister. My sweetie is much more refined, with a suggestion of gown covering her nether region, with a more finely wrought face and fingers and less worn in appearance.
Thanks for the help Mr. Sablebrush. I'm afraid you'll have to shower and shave before you handle any of my pipes however...
and Mr. Davit...are you alluding to a good puff on the old peace pipe?
Thank you all for your kind indulgence

Gives a new meaning to the phrase sucking on a tailpipe...By the way what tobacco is that? Is that what the new FDA approved blend looks like? I see what appears to be pebbles in there, would that be for taste...or aroma?

Re: wife in all this, sometimes things will never get better, but sometimes they get a lot better if you figure it out. I leave all advice to the professionals. Really interesting Meerschaum. I have an ashtray, inherited from my paternal grandpa with a sylph on her stomach in a pool with lilypads.

The acid just kicked in... dudes, I feel the eternal oneness.
But it sounds like a cool ashtray.

Somewhere in my youth or childhood, I figured out that there were no extra chemicals needed to arrive here. Occasional calls to the mother ship to get grounded are not a bad idea.

I received her today...ouch... the shank is badly gouged up. I sent pics for repair quotes to Briarville as well as Walker Pipe Repair, I'm hoping one of those guys want to tackle her. Certainly open for suggestions.
I was pleasantly surprised with the case, as it was not described as included in the auction.
It also came with that 'coloring bowl', and it seems she was never smoked without it...hmm. What's the point of using that bowl?... never used one before.
Thanks for your kind words and understanding.

Also sent a inquiry to Norwoods. Not many people touch repairs on a Meer it seems... wish her (and my pocketbook) luck.
