That was an interesting article! I would love to read an article where he goes in-depth at the process of making his new blends, from the initial idea, to the first prototype, to the tweaking, and finally to the finished product! I loved his Tobacco Blending Processes article and his Basics of Tobacco Blending article. Just an idea!

I've been working on the dry martini blend. The gin and vermouth were easy. Keeping the damned olives lit is the hard part.

I read this thread a few days ago and have been thinking about it ever since.

Ive realized that the blends that I smoke are always associated with a place. I wish there was a blend that would remind me

of a warm summer morning,say 5am, the suns just starting to peek over the eastern horizon while Im sitting in my boat on Tampa Bay.

Theres usually a heavy mist on the water, the occasional Redfish breaks the surface somewhere in the mist and I feel like I have the entire Bay to myself while I sip a strong cup of coffee with just a touch of rye whiskey in it.
Build me something like that and I will kiss your....um...Ill buy you breakfast, hows that?

Try soaking your olive in Grain first.
