Definitely looks better from this angle.Brand new (screenshot from that well know pipe seller's website)....
Yeah - I liked the way the trim was designed - it was pretty a few weeks ago.... It'll be pretty again.Definitely looks better from this angle.
I sent them them an email with the pic. I fully expect that they will make it right - I have no reason to beleive otherwise....You might consider contacting the vendor. Many will do something to make it right if they know about it. Some won’t. ?
could ambient humidity throw off the process too. I assume it could. Might explain why this seems to happen at regular but low percentage among different factories. Now, if the person who was doing the finishing had been smoking a pipe and was relaxed and not rushed....?
Wipe it down with acetone to remove the rest of the lacquer.Brand new BC, not at all impressed with the finishing job. Started bubbling the finish on the first smoke, this is after the 3rd smoke.
No, I don't beleive I got it to hot at all, never had an Irish out Italian pipe do this to me.View attachment 87763
Could be air bubbles in the lacquer. Peterson had an issue with that a few years ago. Now, if the person who was doing the finishing had been smoking a pipe and was relaxed and not rushed....?
