I do feel sorry for most of the down state people though. I doubt they voted for the dysfunctional government but they have almost no influence because of the massive population of Chicagoland who apparently loves dysfunctional government.

Wish I could leave IL, but it is not likely to happen.
We need to change the state constitution to allow cities to go bankrupt. Chicago is not the worst, but definitely the biggest.
