Anyone have experince with tobacco that has a fishy smell? I've been reading reviews of cavendish and stoved virginia where they say the smell of the actual tobacco is fishy. That just sounds so unappealing.

"If it smells like fish, smoke that cavendish. If it smells like cologne, leave that 1792 Flake alone." I think that's how the saying goes..

I like my tobacco laced with fish sauce. Yum! Forget the vinegar, go straight for that fermented fish sauce.

Idk Ive never experienced it in the wild. with pipe tobacco anyways...

Your tobacco might have a yeast infection or STD. If your mouth burns and has a cloudy discharge the morning after smoking activity, see a doctor asap.

No, beats me. I think another blend that leaves my fingers smelling trouty is C&D's Sam's Blend, which has unsweetened cavendish. Dunno if it's the cavendish or the humectants/chems. Those are the only blends I've noticed the issue with, and I've plenty of black cavendish blends in my stock, so I'm guessing is the additives.

I have never experienced a fishy smell from tobacco.
Cabbies smells like sheepshit. Tastes delicious though.

I can handle tobacco that smells like manure. I can handle tobacco that smells like burnt socks. But there is no way I would be able to handle tobacco that smells like fish. Thankfully of the dozens of blends I've encountered none have smelled fishy. Yuck.

I smoked some HH Syrian from 2014 that I purchased recently, and it tastes like straight fish sauce. It's an umami bomb for sure.
