I Need Some Meerschaum Selection Advice

Hey all,
I've been reading more information on Meerschaum pipes, and as I only own Briars and Cobs, I've been giving it some serious consideration. I prefer a cleaner-looking design, so figurals are out for now. These are the three shapes I've honed in on. What do you guys think?
Lattice Apple

I'm torn because I really like the apple shape, but I also like the length/amount of Meerschaum on the Billiard. There's a tad too much silver on the two apples, I fear. Also, I used to only prefer lattice, but after seeing Fikri Baki's marbled patina, I've reconsidered the smooth.
I know that this will ultimately be my own decision as I would be the one smoking it, but I'd love to hear some thoughts.

I like the smooth, all are nice looking though. Mine is a lattice. Enjoy.

All great choices, the smooths will take color faster

I agree, all great choices. I have smooth and lattice meers and each has its own charm and personality. Many variables affect coloring.

I wouldn't turn down any of those.. but if I had to pick one I would go with the smooth apple.

Proportions are more appealing on the bent billiard. But i am more partial to carved meerschaums. Have you considered any of their floral designs?

If you drop a lattice it has a good chance of breaking. Other than that get the one that has the most meer on it. It will smoke cooler. As will the longest pipe.

I also agree on the smooth... The lattice looks really nice.. but the smooth will develope a very classy look as you smoke it... I personally own a smooth and have had it for 35 years and it just looks great.

I looked at their floral designs, but it's already a bit much for me.
