I know I'm not alone in this ... I've always loved that Hoppe's #9 smell.
Well, guess what? They make air fresheners and candles with that scent!

I kind of feel like I need those. I had a bottle crack and leak in my safe. Best deodorizer ever!

The old timers at our shop talk about the way Hoppe's used to smell much better than it does now. I know a guy who goes to estate sales just to pick up old half-full bottles of Hoppe's.

Hoppe's does smell great, but a dab of WD-40 behind each ear makes for a delightful cologne as well.

Seems to be a common feeling on the firearms forums. #9, #9, #9. I do believe that is what the Beatles were referring to.

SWEEEEET!!

That smell is So distinctive. I remember my first .22 rifle at 10 years old, my Dad gave me a Hoppe's cleaning kit. I think I wore the bore out more from cleaning it than shooting!! Just to get that great #9 smell.......

I gotta track these down, thanks for enabling sharing Cob!
