Oregon also has a Wanker's Corner. I think half the town revenue comes from selling souvenir T-shirts and such

Romaso, I really thought you were pulling my leg on this one but it checked out  .

"In 1895, the Wanker family moved to the area and bought land where they built a store and tavern, an area later to become Wankers Corner at the intersection of Stafford Road and Borland Road."

I just might look up this Wanker family on the US census records.

Regards,

Jay.

"I just finished Bill Bryson's The Road to Little Dribbling."

Michael, having read several of Bryson's books I bought The Road To Little Dribbling on the strength of those books but never actually read it.....I must dig it out.

Regards,

Jay.
Wonderful book. It was his followup to "Notes from a small island" about his solo tour of England just before he moved back to America. That book is funny, warm and well worth reading.

He really should begin and end his trip in the London neighborhood of Spitalfields.
