So I decided to crack open some tins I had laying around and separate them in a few jars for aging purposes, and one of the blends was a first-timer for me. As soon as I peeled back the lid I got a strong whiff of ketchup and tang! It came from a 100g can of Old Gowerie. Can’t wait to try it (not until this evening!)

I think Watch City Cigar's 558 and Old Dominion have a hint of that aroma as well.... lovely!

Fermenting Virgnia tobacco! Ah! You get a little whiff of ketchup with your bowl, like a free hamburger.

I opened some Sutliff 515RC the other day I have jarred and the ketchup aroma was prevalent in it. So much so that I did a no-no and briefly opened one of my McClelland 5100 jars just to compare aromas and they were almost identical. Almost, but not quite. There was a "Richer" aroma out of the 5100.

I LOVE Old Gowrie. One of the better Va/Burs in my opinion.

Greenodd Rope from Synjeco also has that smell after jarred for a while. Other than McClelland it is the most clear presentation of that smell I’ve experienced.

I got some vinigar like tin note from Telegraph Hill. First time I ever smelled it. It kinda weirded me out, but it smoked great.
