I Figured Out The Flavour Thing

So being new to pipe smoking and reading all the threads about newbies not tasting anything for the first bowls(which included me) I was out having a smoke and realized that where I had my pipe in my mouth was behind my eyetooth so in reality the button was about 2/3 of the way back on my tongue.

I repositioned so I was drawing from the front of my mouth over my whole tongue and what a difference. :mrgreen:

I was getting great flavour on every puff !!!!

Instead of no flavour the tobacco tasted like it smelled.

No bad aftertaste either

I am a happy camper !!!!!

Hmmm. That's my problem with P-Lip stems. They carry the smoke a little further into the mouth and direct it toward the roof. I have one P-Lip, a Peterson Rhody 999, and I enjoy it, but one P-Lip is sufficient.
