This piece called out to me this morning and it was still available when I got home from work so I figured it was meant to be mine! This is my first pipe that was more then $120 US. I hope she don’t spoil me and that I can continue to enjoy the pipes I already own so I can continue to focus on filling my cellar with tobacco.

And I’ll go ahead and forget about ever retiring ?
You can very easily pace yourself and enjoy building a collection without going into complete debt. My advice is to sleep on a purchase unless it is a pipe that you know you really cannot resist. And, yes, i have missed out on some pipes which I would have wanted through this method and i have bought too many pipes on impulse which I have come to regret and which were later traded or rest now in the box in my cellar unlikely to be smoked again. Pipesmoking is a long arc and your tastes in size, shape and maker will undoubtedly change over the years. But that is a beauty.
