All the HU Tobacco’s I have tried have been very good. Edward G, Fayyum, and Makhuwa, would make a good representative sample of HU mixtures.

Directors Cut - Va/Per

Makhuwa - Burley with a chocolate flavor

Zulu - Balkan

Out Of Africa - Burley, Virginia, Perique with a slightly floral topping

5th Anniversary Blend - An outstanding blend of Virginias with just a touch of Balsamic as a topping

Indaba - Virginias, Dark fired Virginia, Dark Fired Kentucky

Old Fredders - Va/Per

Edward G - Red Virginia, Brown Virginia, Perique
Hans sources from all over the world to create his blends - Africa, South America, Malaysia, etc. The results are blends with very full rich flavors.

Dockworker - burley based w Oriental

Nashville County - Burley based, Dark Fired , Red VA

Haymaker - VA flake

Director’s Cut - favorite Va/Per/Kentucky

Bahia O - one of the best aromatic blends I ever smoked. It’s a VA flake with orange flavoring that does not overwhelm the tobacco. It compliments it. I highly recommend it and I do not enjoy aromatics. It’s nothing like Exotic Orange
Also Makhuwa , is excellent

Hoosier, there are few blends that I prefer over others but I tend to pick Balkans first. I like a lighter hand in the Latakia jar and have yet to decide if I like Cavendish heavy blends. I like Navy flakes and good crossover blends. English aromatics, so to speak. Still looking for a sweeter blend to alternate with Balkans.

I have tried maybe 10 different HU blends. All are good to excellent. While I generally prefer to smoke VAs and Burleys, it’s the HU English and Balkan blends which seem especially remarkable to me.
In no particular order, I’ve particularly liked Directors Cut, Haymaker, Manyara, Makhuwa, and Zulu. Dockworker, Nashville County, Krater-Plug and Aus Dem Krater Nr. 3 were a small notch below those for me. Old Fredders was fine, but I wouldn’t order it again. These are all very high quality blends. It’s a question of preference between them.
As for vendor, Esterval’s Pipe House seems the best choice for those of us importing to the USA. BTW, you need to create a login before you can put tobacco in your shopping cart.

I'd highly recommend Zulu for Balkan. While technically not Balkan, from what else you described, you should try Asmara. I'd highly recommend Flanagan, Dockworker, Makhuwa and Manyara. Khoisaan is another nice Balkan. Soraya and Joschi's Oriental Sunrise are two excellent Oriental blends. If you like something with a little cigar leaf, Nyala is excellent.

As far as vendors, I’ve ordered from Esterval’s a couple of times with no problems whatsoever.
Nashville County is a smooth, solid Va/Bur. Makhuwa is even better in the same vein.

Fredder’s is OK, but nothing special.

Ju-52 is a raspberry topped Va/Bur. Meh. Not bad but it doesn’t offer anything special IMO.

never had any blends from HU. Where can you get them? Seems online vendors I usually use don't have any from them

Gotta second Director's Cut. Olaf's Favourite English and Tuarekh are very good.
Fayyum Kake is a firm favourite.
If you like GH&Co. Grassmere Flake, give Great Dixter a try. Floral to the max. 8O
