Long time lurker, recent poster. Smoked cigars and pipes in college. Got back into it around 2015 or so And started a collection. Castello is my favorite brand along with a few other Italian makers and North American artisan pipes. Scott Thile and Barnard/BST are two favorites. Enjoy English blends and some aromatics. Known to smoke some Carter Hall on occasion. I expect that to be held against me! Lol

Outside of pipes I’m a bourbon and scotch drinker. A bit of a wine snob. My pipe collection and tobacco cellar pales in comparison to my wine cellar. Mostly Syrah, Pinot Noir, and Cabs from Santa Barbara area, Sonoma, and Willamette Valley. Other hobbies include working out, breeding and showing Boxers, and playing music. I play mandolin, tenor banjo, and guitar in bluegrass, Celtic, and old time music.

Look forward to participating more!

Welcome aboard from central North Carolina. I went to Navy boot camp in San Diego when it still existed there, and did some "A"schools in radio. I've been back since on other business. I like the waterfront maritime museum with The Star of India square rigger and other ships to walk through. Back in the days of yore I think I saw Leon Russel in concert there.

Welcome from Pennsylvania and New York. Fellow cigar smoker, and bourbon and Scotch drinker here. I enjoy Vintage Port and Madeira, and appreciate a number of other wines. I hope to visit Santa Barbara, not so much because of the Cabs, but, because one of my favourite authors, whose work I collect in-depth, lived there for many years.

I've only been to San Diego two times; both times for the SDCC.

Welcome from NYC. I heard Chris Thile live with Goat Rodeo when they played the Hollywood Bowl many years ago. I listen to him now on YouTube but find he spends too much time singing and not enough playing the mandolin. He's a good singer but a great mandolinist.
