There's a bag of Penzance on eBay with a sizable hole at the folded crease. I've long thought that crease was a weak point.

In my opinion it is foolish to trust anything other than a mason jar in which to store tobacco past a few weeks. Buying and washing jars takes minimal effort, but the distress of finding tobacco in anything less than excellent condition is no fun at all. I jar everything, including blends that I am currently smoking, in jelly jars.

Smart thinking Saltedplug. Getting an airtight container to store the bags is also a good idea if you do not wish to break them up into jars just yet.

I've never had a problem with Esoterica bags. Still, I recently acquired some new stuff and will probably break it into a few jars.
As a side note, I've instructed my wife to bury me with my pipes and tobacco. I'm not going anywhere without them!
