I used to root for The Pack when I lived in the Midwest. Now, folks yelling Come on you Yankees! Or Dodgers (both baseball teams here) Or for Dallas Cowboys, a football team that used to give my 49ers a tough time. etc.

I think all Premier League teams have followers in the States. Man U with the most, dunno who's last.
Probably be United, but I bet likes of City and Liverpool not far off because of their more recent success. Real or Barca probably the biggest team stateside and globally since the Messi v Ronaldo games of 2010's.

49'rs v Cowboys NFC final games used to be really the super bowl game in early to mid 1990's. Think free agency and salary caps stopped them being the leagues two juggernauts. 49'rs come close this year, four years ago and in 2013 Superbowl against Ravens.

Those Niners-'Boys games in the late 80's and 90's were a feast.

In spite of a shaky start, I like the Niners' chances for a shot at the ring.
The Boys ain't got close since 1996 thanks to an implosion within (Jerry Jones).

In past 14-15 years San Francisco or Santa Clara 49ers have been the best team in NFL two to four years running and still not won Lombardi.

Welcome Liverpool! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Funny, I’m getting back into cigars, and oh boy are there certainly some seriously expensive ones out there. But there are also a lot of inexpensive ones too.

Don’t look at the Esoterica prices on Tinbids if you think all pipe tobacco is selling cheap. LOL 😝

There’s expensive pipes out there too…

Of course my team is Everton, the lesser known of my town's two football clubs. The Packers are one of the giants of your NFL, like Liverpool, my team's major rival is in our League.
Everton has had its share of getting screwed by the League, and I can't wait to see how City's 115 "fouls" play out. I am afraid not in my life time

Sure city have financial advantage cut corners but so have premier league with their changing rules constantly. Looks like city are destroying em in court last time i checked.

And lets not act like City is the first to have financial advantage, they just upped the ante. Real Madrid and My club Everton were financially doped 50 60 years ago. Its always been big fish eats little fish, uneven playing field sadly

How many great teams can you say was truly organic made up of players recruited locally and developed? I can only think of Lisbon Lions and Bilbao team of early 1980s. Maybe them fine eastern block sides that stormed Europe in 70s and 80s

Been Nerja and Malaga. wonderful interesting locations
I think it was, and is, a favorite place for English. I am referring to Malaga. Almeria however, is still a province stuck in time, there is hardly any tourism, and its infrastructure needs major communication changes. Now, at last, the tracks for the high speed train are being built. Until recently we used to travel by donkey. A disaster.

You got that right, the “Lisbon Lions”. Not before my time, but before I was aware. My father-in-law spoke about them frequently. 1966-67 Glasgow Celtic, one of only two clubs to have won the trophy (the European Cup) with a team composed entirely of players from the club's home country; all of the players in the side were born within 30 miles of Celtic Park in Glasgow. (so says Wikipedia, copied and pasted). That is remarkable and worth repeating and reposting.

Almeria. Now that sounds inviting!
