To light their pipe? Why? This subject has been discussed ad infinitum on the site. The responses stay pretty much the same, why complicate a relatively easy process?Anyone using hemp wick instead of lighters or matches?
Not sure the science behind it, but I find a cleaner taste when I use the wick over a lighter. Maybe the lower temperature of the flame. I also tend to fill half a pipe or less so it makes lighting deep into the bowl easier. To light their pipe? Why? This subject has been discussed ad infinitum on the site. You do know light inhale will pull the lighter flame into the chamber as needed, right? Not sure the science behind it, but I find a cleaner taste when I use the wick over a lighter. Quite, as well as potentially some unspent butane. I understand it to be clean burning but I still prefer what I find to be a cleaner taste by using the hemp wick. I do recommend trying it to anyone who hasn't.You do know light inhale will pull the lighter flame into the chamber as needed, right?
Any burning plant materials creates carcinogens. The tiny amount of butane exposure would be less of a health risk though I've never heard of inhaling to light a pipe. A bigger change of scorching a pipe rim with a solid ember versus a flame as well.Quite, as well as potentially some unspent butane
I tried it. Works OK, but what's the point of lighting a wick first and then your pipe? Why not just go directly to the pipe? Maybe if you have a candle already lit or a fire going, but then I'd prefer a spill.
