Picked this up recently. It was a mess. A little cleaning and it looks like it might be an older Sasieni with a shank repair? Left side of shank with markings (very lightly stamped):

"MADE IN" over "ENGLAND" in the shape of an American football (closer to the bowl
"LONDON MADE" over "PATENT"... then covered by silver band repair (closer to stem)
Right side of shank:
"STAMFORD"
Bottom of band:
"NICKELSILVER"

No dots on the stem. Does that mean it is a replacement stem?

Now we can get a little in the weeds. Lovely straight grain on that pipe, so see if you can make out any of these markings, specifically the Specially Selected part. Can you see the /20 part of the patent number? Or perhaps /28?
