EDIT: Fixed Capitalization in Title (See Rule 9)

I have a Meerschaum cob and the bowl cracked and leaks, is there anyway to fix it? I know they are cheap but I am disabled and on a very tight budget, I have cheap dollar store pipe that I’ve been using but it smoke horrible. Any ideas? Thanks for any advice image.jpg

If they send you a new one and don't make you send that back, mud it real well from the inside, smoke for a while, mud from the outside, smoke, wood glue from the outside.

Really though, that pipe ain't right.

I've had some luck with plaster of paris....I think you could use elmer's wood glue or maybe a slurry of that and sawdust or some other aggregate...? Inside should heal with a little 'cake' .

It is, I agree but I can fix 100 cobs for this $6 price tag. If you smoke cobs a lot eventually you will need to do some fixing and this stuff is a permanent repair I have found. I would not put it in the bowl but for all exterior repairs it is gold.
