Help Identifying Victors Hand Made Pipe

I bought this Victors Hand Made Algerian Briar Poker on eBay for $25 delivered.



I don’t see any fills, that’s a very fancy (for Algerian) piece of briar, and since it doesn’t have a national origin stamp I assume it’s American.

Pipedia has no entry for Victors.

There are Victor Pipes, which are Danish and made by Eric Nording’s grandson, and that seems out.

Anyone ever hear of Victors?

I turned this up on a google search:


That pipe is sold, but it appears to be the same make. My best guess would be a now defunct pipe shop that was called Victors made or at least sold this line.

I suspect that is from Jost’s in St. Louis. In searching it seems they sold some pipes branded Victors, and were known to have close ties to Comoy’s. The shape very much resembles a shape Comoy’s made:
