Help Identify Pipe

I just purchased this and it’s on the way to me soon. Not too much is coming up for the London hits online. A lot of French hits from the similar named pipe. Anyone recognize GW on the silver? Looks like 1928. Seller photos. Thank you, you pipe wizards of history.

Who Made That Pipe lists two English makers of an Ascot pipe, W H Carrington and H Perkins & Sons. Hard to see, but that looks like a 1907 year hallmark.

Actually, that's W.H. Carrington.

The only GW in an oval that's around this period, listed as a pipe mounter, is G. Ward, tobacconist, listed as London, but the assay mark is listed as Chester.
