I come from Hanoi, Vietnam. I have been smoking pipes since 2001, then in Vietnam there were very few people smoking pipes. Keeping a pipe in my mouth is something weird, so I only smoke at home.
Thankfully, many Vietnamese have smoked pipes lately. We have a pretty large community of pipe lovers. Nice to join this forum.View attachment 51679

Most of the bowls on those pipes appear to be a healthy size. Tobacco must be plentiful and cheap in Vietnam.
What's the most popular tobacco?
Is much of it home grown or grown in small farms?

In Vietnam, Tobacco is not easy to find and the prices are not cheap. We often smoke pipe tobacco imported from the US, UK and Denmark. Vietnam does not produce tobacco for pipe

I have traveled to your country once. Nature is so lovely. The climate is dry and cool, smoking a pipe is very suitable.
However, Tobacco in Australia are very expensive. I was only allowed to bring 50g and had to use it sparingly for 1 week

There aren't any local tobacco unique to Vietnam. We buy pipe tobacco from abroad.
