Washington state native here. Started thinking this morning about McClelland pipe tobacco blends I can't get anymore. Forgot I had signed up for this site a while ago. Anyway, my grandfather was an avid pipe smoker, primarily burning bourbon flavored tobacco. Maybe that's where I get the itch from. My first experience was cherry flavored tobacco in a rudimentary pipe when I was in my teens. I now own 3 Savinelli pipes, going the Italian route. I may have to pick up a Peterson in the future, though as my great-grandmother was from County Cork Ireland. I really started getting into this niche just before McClelland called it quits, which was a giant bummer. I don't smoke indoors, so I'm eagerly waiting for March to come as the outside temps read 31° today.
Happy Piping!

Welcome from the Frozen Tundra. Have a daughter in Seattle, so I may wave my pipe when riding my HD through Spokane. I may stop at Wisconsinburger on my way out.

Welcome, I used to work for a company based out of Spokane. Beautiful country, all into Idaho.

How is Spokane? I've been really needing to get out of California. I don't know how anybody affords anything here.
in 2012, my friend bought his house for $120,000. It's probably worth $250,000-$300,000 now. Several Californians took advantage of an affordable real estate market here in the past few years. Now, it's all gotten more expensive. My uncle lived in San Jose for 38 years moved up here last year. The rent he pays is still considerably less than CA rates.

Born and raised in Spokane myself. Now living in California though. I think there's a tobacco shop in Post Falls that lets you smoke in their lounge if you get the irresistible urge to smoke before Spring comes.

I assume you've been to Tobacco World in the Old Flour Mill?

Howdy & welcome from Korea.

I too am an outdoor smoker, not by choice, only my significant other insists on it!
But just this summer I was sitting outback, in the yard and wishing for the cooler weather to arrive, the heat & humidity is horrible, when one is trying to relax with a pipe.

As we leave the fall behind and head into winter, the temperatures are really falling now. At least I can wrap up and get the fire-pit flashed up and enjoy a pipe or two in some comfort.

Enjoy!

Greetings from Tacoma. The same happened to me shortly after I start smoking pipes, I get introduced to McClelland then go out of business. The majority of my pipes are savinelli. They smoke good and I can’t complain. It’s 42 on this side of the state, so I try to stick it out as long as it’s not breezy.
