We just recently got a hammock so I plan on setting that up in the backyard and celebrating this day by laying in the hammock all day long and smoking several pipe fulls.

I am going to grab my pipe and smoke it in a non smoking restaurant and tell them all to go to hell before the cops drag my ass out. I will keep puffing all the way to jail where I will spend the rest of this glorious day railing against my opressors.

It's been a pretty good day! I wandered over to a B&M here in Calgary and was ecstatic to find all Brigham pipes at 30% off. Brigham is probably my favorite maker, and the shop had 2 of the pipes on my short list in stock. I picked up a shape 26 and a shape 62 both in the Chinook finish.
And that's not all. They threw in 2 cool tins, and I received 3 entries into a draw for a 3-dot Brigham.
Also, they had some tins open for sampling so I got to sample Royal Yacht and shoot the breeze with some of the staff.
All in all a super good pipe day! It's awesome that this B&M put some effort into IPSD. ::

Made it a 3 pipe day. Had a bowl of Black Cherry in a cob this morning. And after taking the wife for antique shopping on the Mississippi Coast (I lost the coin toss) I had a bowl of Nougat in a Cobbit Shire followed with a bowl of Penzance in a Savinelli Giubileo d'Oro bulldog.
Stickframer, I really like both of the pipes you bought. I enjoy my Brigham.
I just got back from the garage, where I finally opened my tin of Briar Fox that I won in a PM caption contest. Good flavor. Only issue is that I had so many projects to complete, I could not get out until it was getting cold. Made for a fast, hot smoke.

Winton, those Chinook pipes look amazing imo. I'm thrilled to have finally seen them in a shop.
Speaking of winning stuff, I didn't win the pipe, but it turns out they also had a pipe/tobacco pouch full of cleaners and tampers and stuff I was lucky enough to win.
I was busy most of the morning too, and missed lunch. My first bowl of the day was the Royal Yacht sample on a empty stomach. Strong stuff there haha.
Smoked in front of the shop with 2 of the lovely ladies who worked there. They knew their stuff too.
I'm usually a solitary smoker, puffing away in the garage, so something like today was a really cool experience. ::

By the fire in N. CA following a beautiful day with my son and two college buddies just shooting the breeze for a few hours. A large Rossi blast filled with Smyrna is very satisfying right now.

I have literally been at work all day and have not had a chance to smoke a pipe yet. As of right now, there's an hour and a half until midnight. So as soon as I get done eating, I'll be able to get some puffing in before it's all over

Man, I didn't know Brigham had such cool packaging/boxes. I snagged my brigham sans box from Brian at a pipe show...
I mixed up some C&D Burley Flake No.1 and Rattray Hal O' The Wynd for a killer combination that oddly, tastes a bit like Semois but hits with a greater vengeance. It was a great day.
