Down east it's a little more old world , roast turkey with giblets gravy , savory butter stuffing ( called dressing ) and cranberry . Served up with a traditional jiggs dinner , all in one pot goes salted pork or brisket , green leafy cabbage , turnip , turnip tops , potato , carrot and peas pudding , which is yellow split peas tied in a muslin bag.
Must have pickled beets and mustard pickles on the side , a nice glass of chianti and cheers .
Dessert will be warm apple crumble with vanilla ice cream.
