I learned on a vauen pipe and was frustrated too until I refined my technique and realized what an overbuilt German panzer Vauen pipes are.
Panzerpfeifen ganz genau!

My humble Vauen Basic apple is the only pipe that doesn't get uncomfortable to hold with my fast cadence. I should get another one.

I've had good results with 9mm White Elephant Meerschaum filters.

I'd advise against smoking it without a filter and without an adapter: it's not gonna magically turn into a reverse calabash, and it can scorch your tongue when lighting it if you're still learning the ropes.

I use a few meerchaum stones at the bottom of the bowl of one of my pipes, not only to limit the moisture, but also bring the lower parts of the tobacco a bit higher, as by make the draft hole is a bit high.

For some carvers, especially the Danes, that's by design as a moisture trap.
Had no idea. A problem with this is that the lower parts of the tobacco collect so much moisture, that end up thrown away as dottle. In that pipe it was quite some tobacco.

Since I started drying my tobacco more before smoking it's rare for me to get any gurgling. But that's a preference thing. I started drying mine more to reduce bite and found I had much less gurgling.

I like the Virginias about bone dry, English blends I don't dry as much. I think with it dries more too I'm kind of forced to smoke it slower too, which probably also helps with gurgling. You could try it with a few bowls, see how it works for you and what you think of the flavor. Just dry enough for one bowl at a time so if you don't like it the rest of your tobacco you don't have to rehydrate. I keep mine in jars at the moisture level they came in and dry as much as I needed for each smoke.

I also store my tobacco in jars. I tried smoking them after I dry the dose for a bowl for 30 mins to 1 hour before and it eliminated gurgling completely. So far I learned to smoke slowly and I enjoy every bit of it. There are blends that I haven't mastered yet though.

There's so many variables, between how dry the tobacco is, how the bowl was packed, probably pipe shape, wind if you're outside, cut of the tobacco. But for me, if I can control the biggest factors I'll always have a good smoke at the least. I bet with the tobaccos you haven't mastered yet, if you stuck with the same pipe and played around with different packing, humidity, smoking cadence you'd master those in no time. Sometimes I'll have to pack the tobacco down a little more with the tamper or run a cleaner through the stem but I'm okay with that. But the smokes are consistently good now. Gurgling is rare, no more bite so I'm happy.

Hi! I have a VAUEN Basic pipe and right now im smoking Dragon Blend by John Aylesbury. When i smoke moister builds up in the bottom of the bowl even if i have left it out to dry for 2 hours. Does this happend because of my pipe, my tobacco or anything else.

Thanks beforehand for any answer.
Try getting a cheap falcon pipe

They have a mini ring in the bottom which soaks all that up
Also try drying a bowlful of your tobacco overnight. Just watch it don't go too crunchy or it will burn hot and quick

i have the same issue with my Morgan bones sitter pipe, usually I just slow down or leave it to sit for a couple of mins to flip a page or re-read a section. From what i gather, its about 70% the blend/tobacco and 30% the speed of smoking. but i could be wrong since I'm relatively new to pipe smoking.

Okay there's where we start. If you're smoking it without a filter, moisture is going to build up in the filter chamber. If smoking with a filter, turbulence caused by the blocked airflow will cause condensation. If smoking without the filter, you may consider an adapter or frequent use of pipe cleaners to absorb the moisture. If you like filters, you may want to try balsa ones.
Thats the hell of a filter pipe. Most are never drilled properly as a filter changes the air flow so much.

But a filter is neutral on the "it makes it gurlgle or not" debate. How high the air way is in reference to the filter chamber, and how tight the stem is bent WILL.

Never had issues with either causing moisture buildup.
Lucky. I've only had granola beats till now. Most of them were drilled inside in such a way I thought it was a peterson system. But the collection of moisture would collect and then drain into the bowl.

Yes But! Make certain those bowl moisture rings are labellled Falcon. Genuine Falcon moisture rings are as cheap as chips but even so copy cat moisture rings have come on the market, put one of them in the aluminimum bowl locate the ring spigot in the pipe airway screw down the briar/meerschaum bowl and hey presto there's no no draw to be had as the copy cat rings are to thick.

I make my rings out of pipe cleaners.
