All,

I came across this pipe recently and really liked the straight grain on it. I have been on PAD lock down for quite some time now, but just had to break down and buy this one as I am a sucker for slight bend pots with thick chamber walls. And for straight grain. So I finally pulled the trigger. I've saved quite a bit by not buying lately, and by restoring estates, so I figured it was justified. First new pipe in a while. So, just for fun, can anyone guess who made this pipe? No cheating you tech freaks!

I'd guess Radice exept the button is far longer than they usually do. There's not too many makers who don't coat the bowl, so that leaves a few Italian makes and a few artisans.

Definitely looks Italian to me...hmmm...I’m going to go with Savinelli, one of their higher grades. Giubielo de oro?

Nice thread idea and congrats! The grain is really beautiful on that one. Though I have no idea now about the maker.

We could start a game out of this idea. The one who makes the correct guess could post a new pic to guess and so on...

My guess is Butz Choquin, I dont think it is because the BC would be able to be seen on the stem, unless you flipped the image

WE HAVE A WINNER!!!! Well Done, sir! In my opinion one of the most underrated, and under-discussed makers out there. Excellent smokers and some beautiful pipes if you take the time to comb through them. This pipe was $95.

I recently was looking at a Genod Canadian ($100). I remember the bowls not being coated. Other than that...a lucky guess.
