I didn’t know there was a pipe shop in Carmel. I’ll have to check that out next time. Also, the Piedmont Tobbaconist is not far from my house, but I’ve steered clear since reading reviews on Google and Yelp. Thanks for the heads up on the Carmel pipe shop!Did you hit the Carmel Pipe Shop? They actually have real tobacco in tins and bags, as well as briar and meerschaum pipes! The size of a big closet, they are a gem of a shop.
I used to live in a town next to Oakland, and the Piedmont Tobacconist was my go to. Very sad now.
Welcome to the forum!!
I love it here in Oakland. I’ll be moving to Berkeley in March of next year, and although I do love Berkeley, I will definitely miss living in Oakland.I think there is at least one other person from Oakland on here. It seems like a place where things are really starting to happen. A place on the way up.
from what i can see oakland benefits from locals who don't wait for the world to fix it's self for them and who chose to be the remedy for their town. I hope i articulatied that well or at least ok.I love it here in Oakland. I’ll be moving to Berkeley in March of next year, and although I do love Berkeley, I will definitely miss living in Oakland.
When Steve Richman (sp) was running it, it was a delight. I'll go there next in Oaktown, but that may be a while.I didn’t know there was a pipe shop in Carmel. I’ll have to check that out next time. I really can’t complain. Oakland has just about everything great food, awesome places to hang out, some beautiful hiking trails, and just about anything you want to get into. I’ve lived all over The Bay, and The East Bay (especially Oakland and Berkeley) is my favorite. Are you from The Bay or do you just get out here sometimes?Howdy & welcome aboard. Been a while since I've been down to the Embarcadero. How's Oakland these days?
I was in the Coast Guard so I've tramped in and out of the Bay Area quite a bit.Are you from The Bay or do you just get out here sometimes?

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked out of work after a whole day of wearing my mask and swearing that as soon as a get home I’m shaving it off. Lol. I always cool off on the drive home, and the mustache stays. But tbh with a mask on it’s really just mostly in my mouth all day.Welcome from PA and NY. Nice to see a fellow handlebar moustache person here. I usually use Firehouse and Can You Handlebar moustache waxes based on the season/humidity; I haven't waxed in almost two years because of the pandemic/mask wearing.
