Hi Ettrick. Thanks for the welcome.
Scotland is at the top of my bucket list of places to visit while still living...So beautiful!
If I make it there, hopefully we can meet up for a smoke sometime.
Be Well!
Hi Ettrick. Thanks for the welcome.
Hi kcghost. It's good to be here...Welcome from KC!! I give the same advice to all newbies: Don't over pack your pipe and don't puff too fast.
Thanks birdnerd!Welcome from Virginia

Thanks Charlie.Welcome from New York. My family came from PA and when I was a kid I spent a lot of time with my father in Sunbury, Elysburg, Shamokin area. I used to love Knoebels! If you wanna try burley my novice taste really liked C&D Cube Cut Burley, it’s creamy, earthy, nutty and all around great.
Thanks anotherbob - Glad to be here!oh welcome from the middle of PA. Yes pipes have a lot to offer but are a bit tricky compared to cigars or cancer sticks.
Thanks SS!As luck would have it, we're having a meet-up at Boswells' on Saturday (Chambersburg PA). Welcome and drop by!
Thanks carolinasmokes - I appreciate the welcome!Welcome from North Carolina.
Wow! Truly an international community...Welcome, from Spain. Sir..............
Thanks UncleRasta!Welcome from Monterey California. Discovering your favorite genre, blends, and even pipes is an interesting journey. We are all here to lead you down the various rabbit holes of our experiences.
You may. The Missouri Meerschaum Country Gentleman happens to be my favorite cob. Some of my current favorite blends are GL Pease Westminster, HH Burley Flake, Rattray's Old Gowrie, and Balkan Sasieni. I will say that at almost two years in, my tastes are still evolving. The journey is fascinating and enjoyable though. I hope it is the same for you. Thanks UncleRasta!
I am certainly embracing the journey ahead with much excitement.
May I ask about some of your favorites?
oh pipes are enjoyable from the start. It's just that at first you do things like burn your tongue, have to relight a million times, miss out on how good it can taste, and a few others. Which means it only gets more enjoyable. Thanks anotherbob - Glad to be here!
I agree. They are tricky, but in my limited experience, seem to be worth the struggle (I guess that's true of most things).
Looking forward to joining you on the journey!
Thanks cigrmaster - It's good to be here!Welcome from Florida. Here are a couple of blends I think you may like.
Mac Baren Blue Flake
Escudo
One is a coin and the other is a flake. Before you try smoking them you need to read up on how to to so.
I prefer the fold and stuff technique but I recommend the cube and cut method for new smokers. Once you get the cube cut method down then you can try the fold and stuff. Some may want to try the rubbing out method to start. That would not be my first choice. I hope you enjoy your journey here with us.
