Hi, my name is Marc (carolinasmokes) and I'm glad to be here. Nice forum with lots of good information. So I decided to join up and be a part of this growing community. I've been a pipe smoker since 2002. Briars and McClelland tobacco were the only game in town for me at the time, I absolutely loved "Red Cake" it was my favorite and who didn't like their other virginia tobaccos like 2010, 2015, #22, #27, Dark Star and Christmas Cheer. When they closed I was devastated and took a short break from pipe smoking.

A year or two later when I retired I picked up the pipe again, this time trying cobs and burley blends. That first burley blend in a cob was amazing, I've been hooked ever since, cobs are excellent smokers and I have grown very fond of burley blends, especially Carter Hall. Well, that's my story fellas, look forward to meeting all of you. Have a great evening everyone!

Smoking lamp is lit,

Marc a.k.a. carolinasmokes
