Hello everyone. I'm living in Georgia now, but spent part of my childhood in western North Carolina, where I've seen tobacco from seed to staked in fields, hanging in barns, bundled on pallets, and whizzing through the factory.

I was given a nice pipe, which I didn't know was nice, that I smoked house blends and Captain Black in for a couple of decades, but tragically broke and is now gone. My other pipe has been a churchwarden I picked up as something different, and which needs refurbishing. I've gotten back into smoking the pipe after a lull and have picked up a basked pipe locally and a few inexpensive estate pipes online, and one nice one as a sort of replacement for my first one. I'm amazed at the availability of fancy tobaccos these days and intend to sample a variety in addition to my old pals the Captain and Sir Walter.

I've enjoyed lurking the forums and figured I'd say hi.
