Thanks to those who make this such a great wealth of info and wonderful stories!

I began my pipe journey almost 12 years ago in the Army where I made the transition from stogies to the pipe. Being on call as a Personal security unit it made more sense to smoke pipes. Being on call at a moments notice, I wasted a lot of cigars. Hard to shove a cigar in a pocket!

My first tobaccos were English as they suited my taste at the time. I've since fallen in love with Va/Pers especially Marlin Flake. Its usually my morning accompaniment to my coffee.

Anyways thanks for having me and sharing your knowledge!

Welcome from costal Georgia! Former Air Force and also 8 yr contractor for the Army in the sand box here. Yeah, pipes were not the best choice most of the time. There’s lots of good people and info (some not so good) on here?. Just kidding…….or am I ?
