Grechukhin Smooth Bent Apple with Black Palm

Ah, Russian carvers. I don't own many, but I do admire their style from time to time.
I recently acquired this little smooth number by carver Vladimir Grechukhin.
The style is classic bent apple, but there is some nice eye candy here if you are a grain maven.

Just right for your Mixture 79 and a glass of pickle juice on the side, don't forget those strawberry iceberg floaties! Oh, nice addition too.

Wow ... that's incredibly nice! The patterns shown on the bottom are like Mossy Agate.
I really like the perpendicular grain in the Black Palm, too.
That pipe looks like it would just melt into your palm!
