I picked this up in a deal with about 8 pipes, a couple of tampers, and some assorted other items and I would love it if anyone knows anything about these. So far I've found that it is either a Fritz or Paolo (father & son) Becker pipe made in Italy. I didn't know what I was getting but I liked the look of it. If anyone knows roughly the year or value of this please let me know. I'm sending it and a few other pipes off for restoration. I've an idea that this could end up a present to my brother after I get it back.
And now the pics:

Gorgeous pipe. You said it was a Becker and when I saw the pipe it looked like a Becker in the bowl shape, a bit odd but beautiful, which I see in the sharp inward curve of the front of the bowl, in profile, and the accentuated taper of the shank. And the grain! At least $300.00-$400.00; that's $1000.00 pipe new.

Congrats, and three hearts. I am a big fan of the Beckers. I have three now, working on another. Congratulations, it should be a best smoker for you.

Paolo's son has taken over the Becker line, and I am anxious to see where it goes from here. He has already spent the last few years before Paolo died taking over the designs. Paolo out did his father, Fritz, so... it will be interesting to see where it goes from here.

I would put that right around 1983 since it has switched to hand made in Italy vs Fatta a mano and they are still using the M stamp for medium. Very nice pipe and quite the score.
