A few years ago I looked up why fentanyl was even legal at all, and discovered it’s actually a miracle drug that no emergency room or hospice or nursing home could function without.

For severe, intractable pain, and especially for dying cancer patients it replaces expensive opium poppy based narcotics, since about 1968. It’s dirt cheap, and replaces much more costly substitutes.

You aren’t going to be able to buy it legally without a prescription and you won’t get it prescribed unless you are in a bad, bad way.;)

The world cannot uninvent fentanyl.

Listen to Nancy Reagan, you’ll be fine.:)
It helped me through a couple very difficult times in my life. All in hospital, no "take homes".
Morphine and Dilaudid couldn't touch what I had. :)
But it should never be a street drug.

I got fentanyl for my cataract surgery. I wouldn't have known if I hadn't asked the anesthesiologist what he was giving me. I was wide awake for the surgery and didn't feel anything but normal. They did give me numbing eye-drops.

I usually hope no one whose life and loved ones have not been touched by alcoholism or addiction ever has to find out what it’s like, but that post has me questioning that practice…
Nah, we all have to have that hope when we're on either side of the issue. Those of us who know the pull of hell, we need to stand for the light.
