You never know where a fellow pipe smoker may be. I’ve been here 13 years and have not seen a pipe smoker. I have seen plenty of people smoking pot in public, whole another story.

Welcome from Virginia/New York. When you see a wild pipe smoker it does bring a little cheer, it is a rare occurrence though. I've only seen one outside of a B&M recently.

Yes, with Ca. I think it’s unlawful to even smoke in a public park. There is a pipe shop if you can call it that bulk blends with little or no smell, the good side of that you can buy a pipe full sample to try. I bought 4 liked only 1 and it was really dry and crumbly.

I'd be interested to know what kind of tobaccos they use to produce this affect. I've never heard of something like that.

I think the tobacco may be too old. Just not a lot of sales any more. I’ve had some get dry with little aroma and I put a water pillow in it and bring it back to a certain point, but I’m not going to buy it already like that. I’ll just do mail order and when I find one I really like stack up on i.

Pipesandcigars do some interesting sample packs, maybe start there. You could also look at the tin sales rank on smokingpipes to see whats popular, but that's contingent on your taste and palate matching with others. If in doubt though you could ask the forum what types of blends would match your tastes, it's how I found some pretty good blends.

Not really. Most of the shops that are still standing are primarily cigar stores that might have a few tins of pipe tobacco on a shelf and some dusty pipes in a cabinet. But that’s about it.

We have an active pipe club though.
