Just sick is what it is. I'm no fan of the Calabash shape but this is one beautiful pipe!

And I don't think you will see another like it. That's a one of a kind masterpiece.

Oh my.
You watch -- Florov is much collected. That will be gone soon (although in some ways it's a nod to a ore traditional shape than is his usual oeuvre.)

I clicked the Add To Cart button just to see how it felt to buy a $2500.00 pipe. Scary. I cleared it before I could check-out.

What talent there is in pipe making these days. That price would buy alot of tobacco.

Wow! I am fond of Calabash pipes, but not at that price. It is a beautiful piece, but way outta my league.

For $2500.00, I could buy a Suzuki 250 motorcycle and have transportation. I just couldn't justify that amount for any pipe. It's a fine looking piece of workmanship, but $2500.? really?

O.K.....in 1934 I could have purchased about 300 Dunhill pipes....No...wholesale at $3.50 each about 600

Dunhill pipes and have enough left over for a LOT of tobacco and a few gallons of good rye whiskey at 3.00/gallon.
My grandfather used to buy a truckload of used barrels from the Old Yellowstone distillery in Owensboro for 50 cents each and was abble to sweat a gallon or so out of each barrel on a cold day.

Apparently this Florov pipe sold for $10,000 at the Chicago show. So by comparison, $2,500 for the calabash is a BARGAIN, right?
