I'm not a collector either, but I'm sure I have too many pipes, so if you have "a decent number," you probably have enough and a surplus. It cheers most of us up to buy another pipe, new or used ... probably cheers us up a little too much.

I agree, I kept buying clay pipes when I saw them on secondhand markets and in antiques / collectables shops, as I like the different styles and I've broken a few!
Now I've started running and will be going to the gym / swimming baths after lockdown is over, I'd like to get my fitness up so no more booze / baccy except on days out!
