I picked up this GBD EBony 1971 in an antique store. I traded some military surplus for it. I only own one other, a "New Era", that is a great smoker.

Nice pipe, I too have a GBD Ebony only mine is a billiard style, they smoke great don't they.

Thanks. I have not smoked this one yet Ron, but my New Era apple which is from the late 60's , early 70's is a great smoker. I am going to do some cleaning and sanitizing on this one tonight and hopefully fire her up ! :puffpipe:

I have an Ebony, Standard and Tapestry all from the same time frame. They're excellent burners for being in the low range of the GBD food chain and that speaks to the quality of the briar, Irish.
