This critter followed me home from a flea market today. $3. Seeing the "Gold Crown" text, inlaid gold crown, and "Made in England", I figured it would be straight forward to figure out the maker. Not so sure. Google-fu leads me to think it could be a GBD, perhaps a late GBD when under COMOY. In any case, she was lightly used. Pipe is about 5 3/4" or so. Perhaps only smoked once or thrice. Appreciate your thoughts!

First pipe since about 1981 or so. Bought a pipe from the ship's store aboard the USS Holland, AS-32, in order to take to sea punching holes in the north Atlantic on the 656 boat. Cheers!

A Pipedia.org search under "Logos" leads me to believe that this is an Italian, namely Fiamma di ri created by a man named Spadoni who apparently closed up shop in 1990. Pipephil.eu/logos/en/logo-f2.html
Hope this helps.

The made in England stamp may indicate that it was made for Spadoni, or that someone usurped the logo after the Italian shop was closed.
