Gave My Notice Today

After almost six years at my current job, I gave my notice today. Another hospital nearby has made me an offer to be their Blood Bank Supervisor in charge of policies and procedures for all Transfusion Services. This is a nice step-up for me and comes with a healthy raise and sign-on bonus. We will be relocating and are looking at houses this weekend. The new area will be better for growing veggies and tobacco and raising small animals due to it's location in a fertile river valley. So, if it seems as though I'm more inactive this next month, it's due to the many changes coming our way.

Three thumbs up, Cobguy! That should be a challenging and rewarding position.
There was something on the radio the other day about Johns Hopkins looking into using drones to distribute blood products to area hospitals. We used to use cabs or the police in an emergency. Sometimes, we'd stick a pack of Klondike bars in with the fresh frozen plasma.
