Thanks Gents! It's drying right now, try to get some pics up tonight, if not tomorrow, if you think it looks good raw in these pics you ought to see it now!

Yeah, it's gonna look great with stain!
It's a jawdropper in its raw state too though,

very well done!

Dan:
It's been a nice evening here at the forum:
1. I got to see pix of MLC's new Askwith burner.
2. Peck increased my vocabulary as I Googled "spalted."
3. I got to see your newest creation. Sadly, I lack vision and I lack imagination. Your first group of pix made me hope that the burner would eventually color. I loved the grain and the rings and the tamarind accent is really attractive. But, I should've known better. The second group of pix made me go slack jawed stupid. Your new burner is just beautiful.

Nice work, Dan. I love the shank extension (tamarind) and the color of the stem. I also love both the before and after pics, and i think that both the raw and natural, as well as the stain look great. I'm a huge fan of unfinished blasted pipes and love the idea of them acquiring color and making them unique over time.
In any event, really good looking pipe!
