If I were to spend the asking price on a pipe it would be this one. Just wow! Sadik Yanik is, at times, brilliant. This belongs in a museum IMO:

Some carvers use a colored wax. Yanik also has deep brown wax on some of his pipes. You'll also find blues and reds from time to time especially from IMP.

I've been tempted by his skulls, but meerschaum prices ans smoking characteristics steadied my hand.

Had that Emim meerschaum from SPC's estate sale not been under $100, I would have skipped it but the carving was nice enough to add to the look at only pieces.

Got two of Yanik's myself and I think they're the cat's pyjamas. That goat is really spectacular!
