I bought 8 ounces each of many Sutliff blends that I hadn't tried, but figured now or never. Frosty Mint was one of them. I've been eyeing the jar for a couple of months now but have yet to muster the fortitude to try it. I fear it'll ghost my pipe like a mofo.

The two ounces I have has no mint in it at all. Still good but I can’t detect any mint. Maybe it sat around in its baggie for too long.

It ghosted my mailbox and house…

Remember - don't take it straight. It's a blending tobacco. You've been warned. It is NOT enjoyable taken straight. It just ain't.

Sample pouches lose all the aromatics during transport.
Aromatics should only be purchased in whole sealed containers, this is one case where the service industry is actually doing everyone a dis-service by opening the bags and selling in customer specified quantities.

It (and the chocolate) have one purpose: EZ1 not becoming extinct😉
Amen to that. If forum users were able to taste EZ1 - Barrelproof's crowning perfection, then there would be so much more happiness - men would find that their wives would be more eager to light up on the porch and sit with them while they smoked a pipe. It really is a great blend.

Feel free to laugh - I get it. I would too if I didn't know. And yes, by itself, it is a horrendously weird blend that will freeze your mouth and lower your body temperature. But when blended with chocolate and mocha - and other such tobaccos - even 1Q for instance - it comes into its own as a background player. Just enough mint to say "Hi there. I'm Frosty. Mind if I give you a kiss? Let me spread my legs around you and rub my inner thigh up and down your....." Okay, wrong forum. Whoops.

I... I think I might try it straight.
I knew you couldn't resist. But... when it all goes south, just remember you were told not to do that. And remember not to judge the blend by the experience you will have - because you purposely avoided following the instructions, LOL. But please please share the experience. It will be funny, I promise.

I was at a Pipe Show at The Briary, and I met this young gentleman of a foreign descent, maybe Italian or something. This was before I had ever started growing tobacco, and we talked for a while about blending. He was very excited about a blend that he had made, and offered me some. I admit, I was having a hard time understanding what he was saying, and I was too polite to keep asking "what," "can you repeat that," etc... I just agreed, and immediately I became regretful, as he pulled out an Altoid tin and proceeded to load my pipe, ha ha.
I lit the pipe, and tried to keep a polite appearance at this strong mint taste overcame me.

I nodded to the gentleman, tried my best not to smile, thanked him, and walked slowly, discretely over tot he potted plant and emptied my pipe. As I was walking away from him, eyes watering, I started wrenching like a cat trying to dispel some fuzz in the back of my throat. I made it to the line to the bathroom, with my eyes feeling swollen, not sure what I was going to do in the restroom, maybe lick the floor to get the taste out of my mouth, but the guy in front of me laughed and said, did you try that guy's minty tobacco?

I have never liked menthol cigarettes, nor Altoid mints, nor those foil wrapped mints they used to have in middle class restaurants in the 80's. I do like mint tea, and I like mint and garlic on lamb or venison... but the line where my mint tolerance is drawn in the sand is drawn close to me and distinctly.

You guys enjoy!

Sounds curiously strong.
