I’ve had a large tin of frog Morton on the town for somewhere around 10 years I’d guess. I keep it in the humidor, which seems silly since it’s sealed, but I guess I’ll always know where it is.

Question... given that it’s factory sealed, Is there any reason it wouldn’t be just as fresh and good as it was the day I bought it from the store? Thanks!

This is the tobacco sales thread... Just FYI.

As long as the tin was kept at a relatively room temp - coolish temp, there's no reason it would not be smokeable.

Fresh... well it would have aged, so it would not be "Fresh" unless it was vacuum sealed, with some appreciable vacuum. And aging changes tobacco. So therefore it won't be the same as it was new, but to some extent, different.

Better, worse... that's a matter of personal taste and open to debate. For the most part, tobacco tends to get better with age in the opinion of most...

Oops, new here and didn’t realize - will not make that mistake again... I appreciate your response despite my error. Kindest regards, James

As "fresh" as the day you bought it?
No. It's leaf in a tin. Time will have it's impact. Even an MRE has a "shelf life".

As "good" as the day you bought it?
That's subjective. There are some who didn't think it was good ten years ago. There are some who prefer the blend aged. Some prefer it fresh.
Only you can answer that part of your question.
