I just recently received a tin of Frog Morton on the Town from a very generous fellow member and had a chance to finally try it. Wow! An amazing and enjoyable smoke, might have found a new fave. One question though, and it may be just me but I almost get an undertone of a great incense like fragrance from it, it was perplexing and different. I don't know if I'll find that same smell again the next time I try, but I hope I do...loved it. Any ideas??

Ok, thanks TexMex. are there any other tobaccos that use Basma? Never really heard of it before, It really adds a scent and flavor that makes things mellow out quite well.

Drama Reserve and English Woods by Mc C are both really nice, and I've read that Rapporie's Red Lion has a nice amount of it.

This is why reviews are of limited value.
The Frog is a favorite of a lot of people.
I absolutely hate it, the "tin note" is almost enough to make me wretch.
My wife will not even allow it to be opened in the house! lol
My point is just because a lot of people like it or hate it, its still worth a try.
Glad you like it, you seem to be in the majority.

I have a soft spot for this blend. It was my first non aromatic. These days I only smoke it occasionally, and only in a cob, because for me it can leave a ghost behind. Its not my favotite tobacco, but I do think Basma is a tasty leaf.
