For those using an electronic reader, Project Gutenberg has a free book called "Tobacco Leaves". I read it last night, mostly. The chapter on fermentation is interesting. I am sure the book is dated but it is a nice historical perspective.

Excellent find. Gutenberg has a range of tobacco-related books which I found by accident when poking around. There is some useful knowledge floating around out there...
