Hello. I am a new here and connection with crownpipes minimal. Only remember my grandfather usin crownpipes. Now i found from basement pipe with CM marking.
As I found from google ot seems to be Charles Maas bit thats all I ca find.
Maybe here in proffessional community is someone who can identify and give little backround what it could be.
Unfortunately it is broken. Is there possibility to repair it?

I would not attempt the repair personally, but I know others here do that well. I'm sure you'll get some suggestions.

Beautiful Charles Maas. I have a few CM/crown pipes and I love them. Keep us in the loop with the repair, I’d be really interested to see how they approach the screw in mortise, whether this is sanded flush and a push stem is used, or whether they match the threads on a new tenon. Cool about your grandads connection with the make

That's a rather nice vintage pipe. I would seriously consider having a reputable professional pipe repairman do the repairs. Send photos to a prospective repairman and get an estimate. I think it could be put back in shape for $100 to $150, and be well worth it. Maybe Forums members can recommend repairmen who have this level of skill. I don't think you want to make this a first DIY project on pipe renovation. Once repaired, I wouldn't hesitate to smoke it.

For sure I will nor try to repair it by myself…I would ruine the history :).
I try to find good repairman.
