Forum Etiquette and Guidelines:
The forums on are dedicated to information on all facets of pipe smoking, pipe tobacco and their accessories. There are also sub forums for off topic discussions. When starting a thread, please make sure it’s posted to the right place.
We enjoy a varied and lively group of members who range from brand-new pipe smokers to grizzled veterans, and the site is one of the most helpful for anyone with questions about pipe smoking. Questions are encouraged, and newcomers should always feel welcomed. That's the culture here: A helping, learning culture which not only promotes the hobby, but expands and enhances it in a collegial manner.
We will not tolerate discouraging any member from asking any question that pertains to the subject of the site. It doesn't matter if the question has been answered a million times before, it will still be treated as if we've never seen it. Replies with links to related information is encouraged.
We will not tolerate rudeness. If you feel that you have been treated rudely, please refrain from retaliating. Seek the help of the Moderator team, which is happy to take care of situations like that.
We will not tolerate any discrimination of any kind, including threads or responses that the moderators feel are racist. We welcome everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, religious or political affiliation, disabilities, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age (as long as you are 18 or older) socioeconomic status, or preference of the type of pipe tobacco or pipe they choose to smoke.
Please refrain from using excessive profanity.
Nude or pornographic pictures are not allowed.
Failing to follow these guidelines will result in a warning. If someone receives multiple warnings, they risk losing their membership and access to the site.
There are not rules to cover every situation. Moderators reserve the right to take appropriate actions as they deem necessary for the well being of the forum.
