Very cool........ I've made a handful from walnut and they turned out great. Mine are from a slab of walnut burl that my dad found at an old sawmill..... laid under the table for over 40 years.
Very nice. I like the stem on the poker. It really works with the shape of the stummel.

No problem. Sounded like a great idea. A full 18 inch rod would have been an awful lot to make into tampers.
