This was my first attempt at cleaning up an estate pipe, an Hardcastle's Jack O' London shape 92, I believe made between 1946-1967, before Dunhill fully took over. The condition wasn't too bad other than a lot of grime on the exterior and the cake/tobacco still in the bowl.
With limited restoration supplies, this is the result. The stem is not perfect but that's okay, and the paint on the stem logo was very faint. It is now non-existent thanks to magic erasers. I'm not quite sure how to clean a stem without affecting the logo. All in all I'm pretty happy with the result and will be smoking this ol dog shortly.
